Welcome to the Winter Village Music Camp
Winter Village Music Camp is a fun and inspiring weekend of workshops, playing, listening and hanging out at the beautiful La Tourelle resort in Ithaca, NY. Winter Village ‘24 will focus on playing and singing in Old Time, Swing and Bluegrass traditions along with a robust series of songwriting workshops.

About the Weekend
OPENING CAMP CONCERT
Thursday, January 11: As has become our tradition, Winter Village is hosting an opening camp concert on Thursday evening. This year’s concert will feature Rachel Eddy & Friends. Tickets for the opening camp concert are NOT included in the camp registration fee. La Tourelle’s discounted camp weekend rates will be available on Thursday night for campers would like to come a day early, enjoy the show and ease into the camp weekend.
MUSIC CAMP INSTRUCTION AND FACULTY CONCERT
Friday, January 12: Instruction will begin on Friday afternoon at 1pm with two 60 minute workshops followed by special band workshops, casual concerts and jams at 4pm. A happy hour opening reception and jam in the lobby and dinner will begin at 5pm. At 7:00 there will be an orientation session for all campers and faculty, followed by facilitated jam sessions for campers with varying experience and stylistic interests, many led by camp faculty.
Saturday, January 13: Saturday will begin with early-riser jam sessions, followed by two 60 - 75 minute instructional workshops. Lunch will be served in the bistro at noon with a lunch hour lobby jam. There will be two afternoon workshops followed by a 4:00pm slot for band workshops and special events. Lobby happy hour jam and dinner will begin at 5pm.
Camp Faculty Concert: The popular Camp Faculty Concert will be on Saturday evening from 7:30 to 9:30pm and feature a series of performances by camp faculty and some special guests. Tickets for the Faculty Concert are included in the camp registration fee. 50 tickets will be available to visitors and guests. After the concert there will be some designated jamming rooms based on stylistic interest and experience, along with music happening throughout the hotel.
Sunday, January 14: Sunday morning will also begin with song and tune swaps, followed by two morning workshops. This year we are adding two Sunday afternoon sessions as well since it is Martin Luther King’s holiday weekend. The camp will end at 5:00pm.
CLOSING CAMP CONCERT
Sunday Evening, January 14: This year we are adding a closing concert to bring a fitting end to the camp weekend. Fiddlers Jason Anick and Grant Flick will team up with Dave Davies, Katie Martucci and a few guest musicians for a show from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Sunday evening. Tickets to the concert are included in the camp registration fee. If you are attending the concert, reduced camp room rates will be available for Sunday night.
Accomodations
La Tourelle is a wonderful place to spend a musical winter weekend. It is a warm and inviting green-certified 55 room boutique hotel - elegant while at the same time casual and comfortable. La Tourelle offers a variety of cozy rooms, some close to the musical activities and others in a designated quiet wing. The Bistro at La Tourelle will offer great breakfast, lunch and dinner along with a bar featuring local beer, wine and spirits and free coffee throughout the weekend. The Music Hall at La Tourelle is an intimate venue for the camp concerts, comfortable with great sound. Following are the 2024 La Tourelle special camp room rates:

Fireplace King Rooms - $150 per night (normally $235 and above)
